Problem
The current car based mobility system causes traffic accidents, congestion, social segregation, urban sprawl and premature deaths from sedentary lifestyles and exhaust fumes. Mobility is a key concern for economic and social progress, accessibility of education and jobs for any social segment are pivotal for prosperity.
Aim
Bike sharing, and integration of bike sharing to transit networks provide the same, door-to-door accessibility that car use provides without the negative impact of car use. Cycling actively enhances the urban environment and attracts people to the streets, creating a livelier and liveable environments.
While early docked bike share schemes have focused in urban centres for justifying development costs, recent dockless operations had to reduce their quality of service due to risks involved in the loss of bicycles. Mobilock has patented a locking technology that allows users to lock with a simple move the bicycle to any street furniture while offering all the benefits of a dock-less system.

Mobilock has started facilitating cargo bike share schemes in Germany and Netherlands in 2018 and currently deploying a traditional bike share scheme that is integrated to regional bus service.
Cargo bikes provide great advertisement for cycling’s potential for urban mobility, confirming that bigger loads can also be covered by bicycles and the occasional demand is fulfilled with only a few shared cargo bikes.
The so-called traditional bike share operation integrated to the bus operators route means that less de-tours can be taken while even more people is reached with the combination of bicycles.
Mobilock is proud to offer the service as a package, providing hardware and software with a clear, simple business proposition, where the client pays only for the locks, but also receives the software stack.
