Problem

Up until now, logistic processes, especially in recycling and waste management, were either initiated regularly or upon customer request. This causes unnecessary traffic and air pollution as well as costs of logistics. Cities suffer from litter pollution beside the waste container, which could be reduced by smart planning of the emptying and therefore adapted routes of the collection vehicle.

Aim

At Zolitron, we use our cognitive sensor technology to reduce the travel time of waste disposal vehicles, thereby increasing efficiency.

Spatial Level

Approach

Our Z-Node sensors measures the filling level of any given container indirectly through vibration while it‘s being loaded. Artificially intelligent algorithms determine the filling level for each container individually. This indirect measurement is very efficient yet reliable, so Z-Node‘s outstanding scalability enables logistics companies to equip all of their containers with Z-Node for most pervasive digitisation of their assets.
